Where did inspiration come from

No where are we the soul inventor of something.  We many find our way through a creative project and have fresh ideas for ourselves but we have seen it somewhere before. We like it and want to give it a try. Well, maybe not all of us but if we have the drive to do that we will.  Or better yet we talk about it and someone else does it.  I think it was in the book Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert.   Ideas come and go and it's up to us if we are going to grab it and run with it too. 

So a while back I order a book by Shelley Rhodes  she now has a few of them and I can't say enough about how it inspired me with my work.  And the Accordion Sketch was introduce by her and Louise Fletcher  I think Louise called them Concertina Sketchbooks.  And with my interest with morning pages and journal writing I gravitated to both of these women. And put together a class, online class and workshop.  I've add a spin or some might say a bit of my own ingrediencies to the mix.  

Darcy Berg,  is an amazing photographer and artist.  She had worked magic with her ability over the years.  She shared with me that a friend and her have purchased my online class on Concertina Sketchbooks and are working together at this.  Making their own...she brought in her at Class this past Monday and shared what she made.  To stretch it out all the way is amazing too long to photograph in one picture.  I'm so proud of her and Karen for what they are doing...passing on the creativity.  I'll be very excited to see their spin or added ingrediencies they will put into it. 

Ann Wood  Far from the book A Year in Practice but some how I'm going to find the connection to the horse and the gathering.  Be it the wild in us and how summer makes us feel with the freedom of less clothes and getting out with other to commune and connect.  But we made Ann Woods Horse with the button joints for where the legs connect.  I cut out smaller one so I could put them in my, art journal that has all four season relating to the book A Year in Practice by Jacqueline Suskin   

I personally am a slow reader but love to read and learn and contemplate what I read and find the deeper understanding... Through creativity, mind, body, soul work and the art of using my hands I've had the blessing to do just that and to share this with others.   

A Year in Practice is in session already but the last one I'll be teaching will be in fall at Mayslake Peabody Estates...there's a few more classes there too coming up.
