First time Wooden Journal Covers

 

 I've had ideas to do something with wood covers for a journal and now I get to explore that with my second oldest daughter getting married just a shy of two weeks. She's the daughter that found a wonderful man, created two wonderful grandchildren for us and now is getting married.  I know the husband I did it our way when we got married and it's very cool to see our second daughter do it.  Our youngest daughter had a vision for her wedding and it was carried out beautifully.  

The husband if his daughter love to work with wood these days and has a lad to work with and making bowls and plates and now wood covers for the Wedding Guest Book.  I was able to Coptic Stitch it together for them and the extra wood I was able to make a book for my Granddaughter to play with at the wedding. She's turned 2 1/2 years old now and she's using crayons and washable markers and stuff.  Could help myself I do enjoy making books.  There will be a transparency sheet over the top cover and with tiny copper nails will be nailed on and it will have the words printed on it that says, Wedding Guest Book.  Very cool.
