Last think that is important to have on hand is wax paper or deli sheet.  These sheets are great for putting between the coat papers so they don't make a collage with out you.
The deli sheets can also be painted and become another paper to use and incorporate into your collages.
So many different materials and choices with collage and mixed media it's an exciting medium to work in and possibilities are endless.  So many things to explore and everything goes, for sure highly experimental and invites us to expand with a playful creative spirit.

Irons, I use to be able to purchase the Black handled Heat Seal iron but they don't make them any more or lets say they don't ship them from over seas anymore.  But know things change I always test things out and found the house iron some of own will work just fine.  I like to use the Cotton setting without steam.   There are other irons out there you can use, just make sure it self regulates...don't want it heating up and burning things...that would be very sad.

I just purchased this one, had to adjust to the no handle situation but it works great and it's for crafts and art projects too.

So when I'm teaching a workshop or class, somethings I bring...like the irons but I just want to make you all aware of what works.
