at the top....

After puttering around the house and yard...I had a moment in the afternoon that I faced a fear.  I've been working on painting this tipi...what a job, small steps and now I'm at the top.  The fear is messing it up.  Though it's my tipi and I will have it in my backyard it will be around for a few years till nature does it's natural things to the cotton duck canvas.  I wanted the sandhill cranes to look like them but the details is hard to have happen.  For me it is, though I love feathers, their something to master and paint.  so I smear and spread....and I think with the main stencil I've been able to get the effect of the feathers.  Plus I have stenciled on 6 of these larger sandhill cranes.  I was able to finish 2 of them so four more to go....I do have to go back in to my six coyotes that I stenciled on...their a bit plain and I think they need something to draw attention to them...not that a coyote needs to have attention drawn to them... Their pretty awesome as is. 

Well off to class today I have a few more session with Mayslake Artist Way which I'm pretty excited to see everyone.
