First Day-Ephemera Paducah KY

So this is the space before Creative folks move in for the weekend.  What a great space it is..Loving it.  Perfect set up for art workshops. See the big doors..there well the next photo is what on the other side.

The back Padio area...we had lunch there till it started to rain to much and then we had to put up the umbrella...and move the papers under the shelter there.

What a fun area.

From where I'm at in the back corner which allows the most space for everyone to move around and for demo's...snapped a photo while they were all creating.

As some papers were drying...don't like to use the hair dryer so I try to time things so we don't.  Here we did come bring stages of starting a collage and talked about horizontal or vertical compositions so the white surface is so daunting.

Using Gesso, artist primmer to any surface means we need some drying time...so these papers are repurpose lunch bags...or you can use maps, Kraft papers etc.  We added texture using the gesso.

Coating the papers...everyone is going be done with this part..seems that was all we were doing but, as I shared...we are doing the hard stuff first and making it easier on our self later when we use the tack iron...It's going to be so nice...I can't wait for the Ohhh's and Ahhh's.

We worked ourselves to a good nights sleep..I hope for all.  We filled up and over filled our creative quota for the day...Awesome Job to all!!
(Yes, I'm called the task-master..I know)
