Is a select collection of Laura Lein-Svencner’s abstract mixed media collage work, they are combination of symbolism, form, content and meaning. Inspired by daily events, to walk in the woods, staying open emotional and spiritually as ideas play out like a visual concert. Edges clean to raw and torn a reflection of life itself.  Leaning heavy on design they are a collage manifest composed of recycled papers, painted engineer plans, nautical maps, sheet music, old book pages, stained tissue papers, hand and machine stitched threads to the self-expressed gestural mark. Papers are coated for protection and the heat seal method of adhering without wet glue is formed with a tack iron.  Layering and compiling the papers to a unified completed piece.
