One Word, Collage Meditation

 

               

 

These are sample of Collage Meditation with one word in a sketchbook. 

 This sample was a 12 x 12 with magazine page that were sanded with textures and the green, green yellow, orange and red with black and white. Working with larger pieces then moving to smaller sizes and different shapes repeating the elements in different areas. 

 

Monochromatic piece, Blue, we worked with the gray scale last week and now I share this one if someone what's to play with color it which is a life time study. 

Sharing this all with you, the collage meditation class is done in a sketchbook. This process is about many things...Build upon each assignment, forming a practice, study of the elements and principles of design....Now my collage work outside of the sketchbook also has me working the glazing and shadowing mediums to create depth of the papers that are layered on top of each other.  

A charcoal pencil, water soluble crayon or watercolor pencils will give the same affect in your sketchbooks.
