Winter Haiku's, India Ink

Being still calm quiet
Howling winds do sing loudly
Outside rhythms form

Refined that Haiku
Though when one is playing around with something new there are bound to be many rough drafts to things.  Practice and play around  some thing will come of it I'm sure.

I can say how wonderful this simple little exercise is and how pleasing it is for me to look at.  The India Ink is a large contrast to the white watercolor paper.  And to aid in the effect of the snow falling down around it, I suggested to use a sponge roller to roll on the speckled effect of snow flakes.

Here is another Haiku

The darkest of days
Light flicker's, candle brings hope
Fire warms our souls

Freeze thaw, freeze thaw, freeze thaw
First full moon shadows form
Night sleeps under snow

I've planned on using these Haikus for my Weather grams...and then hang them outside to be part of the winter season too.  I think I need a few more practice shots with the words.  The Husband see me walking around the house now with my fingers out counting...tapping my fingers on each other as I work the rhythm of the process.

For me to guide the class through this book is very exciting, and I'm learning new things to add to my creative practice and spirit.

Perspective far away,

blinded by white flakes ahead

steady, onward we go

Could a Tack Down Tuesday spark a Haiku?
