Musing morning, life and books

I've rambled on about being a type four on the enneagram...a few times in the past. I receive them every day and this one this morning has me feeling so connected to the spiritual side in myself.  (also born under the sign of Gemini)

Reflect on this truth: The Enneagram guides us toward nothing less than learning how consciously to surrender the ego self of personality to the greater Self so that we can become conscious participants in the sacred mystery of life. In reality, it entails the surrender of nothing—our personality—in order to receive the gift of everything—the life of the Spirit.

Sacred Mystery of life,

I've heard its best to put Principles above personalities in order to have inner peace.

I'm a goofy one that wants life to always be peaceful though I know that is not possible because nature isn't like that. There are natural dramas of the seasons happening all the time and these obstacles end up helping us grow. Can't speck for everyone but for me they do.  I kick and fit it sometimes and then I surrender to it and acceptance follows to help the lesson or learning make sense.  Such as life. Growing all the time if not outwardly,  it's done spiritually inside of us.

Many books seem resurface for some reason. I recently listened to Flora Bowley's book on Spotify. I've read it before and took notes for myself and she talks about obstacles in our life and how we can use them in new ways or they help us make directional  changes.

I'm now working with Jacqueline Suskin's book, A year in Practice within class.
We are working in the Season of Winter now and what and how the season can help us life in harmony with ourselves and life around us by always turning to the season for the answers.

I'm enjoying the time to contemplate words, thoughts and ideas and introspective moments, like now.

I just received the new Julia Cameron book,

Just started it last night,  but finished the Artist's way for Parents in time for the new book.

Happy to say the  Paper mentoring that comes from these book has been my practice for years.  I read other books, waiting for "The Salt Path" to come.

I'm a before bed reader...
Off to finish off my Grandson's drum and get ready for Week 2 of A Year in Practice,  we are making Weather Grams...how exciting and going to bring my typewriter..
