Approaching the White Winters Path

I've worked with this stencil a few times in the past. In fact this TDT-(tack down Tuesday) sold. I look at the colors in the back ground that I selected and with some water sprayed on and plastic wrap I smeared and smooched the colors and allow the play of the colors to set the mood.  Instead of  quadrans that is even, straight I put the angle on the perception. The openness of the wing span offers us the feeling of something bigger.

The Winter Solstice is upon us, Saturday December 22nd 3:21 am central time.
The winter solstice, also called the hibernal solstice, occurs when either of Earth's poles reaches its maximum tilt away from the Sun. This happens twice yearly, once in each hemisphere. For us there it's the shortest day of the year and for other across the big waters it's the longest day.

It is also close to the New Year for us American's in the states.

I've been on that likes to look at this time and prepare to lay the groundwork for continued growth—to let go of the past, connect with yourself, to Wake Up, and be Present.  All very challenging, sometimes I'm good at letting go, but mostly I like to hang on to the threads.

I do seek knowledge and wisdom, at approaching the path toward such qualities in your life.  The piece above is called, Wings and a Prayer.  Slightly off tilt and with the shadows moving away from the sun.

To express with out words, but allow feelings and emotions to move through you as a way to deeper understanding has been a mode of growth all my life.

Approaching a path at this stage of my life is the continued journey into self.  Experience shares it knowledge and wisdom often on many learning levels.  As I type this out early after morning pages I contemplate the gratitude of being a creative sage.  Encounters of relearning and challenges are met with the hands in the many materials laying around.

Pulling on Faith, Elderhood and Sageness.

with permission of the Pine I will ask for a small branch, make some spiced tea, have a pen and paper, Water, candle, sweet grass, and sage I will welcome in the season.

Natures always inspires and I will now honor nature and the unfolding of the season.
