New Class at the Park District



  Art/Altered  Books/Art Journaling/Art Therapy

Using and repurposing an old resale or friends of the library hard cover book for an art journal. We will deconstruction the book pages with inspiration and creativity. Gaining courage, confidence and widening our creative hearts and minds while learning basics of design. Adult students will be working with a professional artist. Applying art materials and mediums to the surface along with image transfers, stitching, stenciling, splattering, and stamping. First week of this eight week session will be introduction.

Supplies to bring to first class: Hard cover book with 200 pages or less, (the book will become your art journal,) scissors, 8 oz jar of acrylic gel medium, 8 oz jar of gesso, apron, a few paint brushes, favorite magazines, roll of wax paper, container for water, and newspapers for your table workstation.
