Floating Collage Composition, Big and little...continues

Magazine, Nat.Geo's are the best, and we sand them and stamp gloss on them and use a metal cleaner on them to take off the ink and reveal some wonderful repurposed papers for collage. Like non-other around.

I usually have samples that I show but this time I decided to hang them so they can be photographed and saved if they would like to and print them off at home.  And coming to the supply table it is a great reference when questioning what we just did...The creative energy is exciting and sometimes we miss the steps to get to the desired collage paper.

The large Kraft paper is one of deeper purpose and mean in my workshops.  The intuitive process that is needed has to be exercised a bit.  And the going to far in creating also has to be done for each of us to have a deeper knowing of what can do and what we would like to change.
There are ideas of what we want to create but what comes from us and out our hands is a whole different story.  We have to practice what we would like to make, the large sheet allows us to explore the mucking up and then fixing it the way we like it.  The practice of a tool in you hand and what you need to know about how it works and what you can do with it is the process of again greater mean.

Gary is a wonder of creative energy and ideas,  a recourse of knowledge and tools.  And if I was taking this workshop I would love the space he as claimed during our time.  Because he's the back of the class you can do that here at Shake Rag Alley.

Karen is working on the color and how the tool in her hand can make marks that are exploratory and pleasing.

These days, that are upon us allow for healing in many different ways. I'm a lifetime believer in creativity, I grow up in and around it all my life and was given and encourage to keep it going. The healing is always going to be in process because life is forever changing so the quote above is so meaningful to me.

And I'm sure this is some of this going on with in the workshop.  It's natural to have a range of feelings and words such as these visiting us.
It is true, This is for sure A Real, Awesome, and Whole time. (RAW)
