Deconstruction, Reflection

This was a very old piece but I pulled it from my files to share with you. I believe it's on piece of mat board that the has gesso textures. There are three image transfers the words, chair and the crow.  The section was cut away.  Triangle,  which if working with symbolism the triangle can bring awareness to goals or ideas. And boy have I had ideas floating around in my head in the mornings during morning pages.  And I see them coming to light too. I've been taking notes about these ideas and drawing little pictures of them to keep memories of the ideas alive so to say.

I'm reflecting as most of us might be with the end of a year and with out the ego taking over I realize that I've been very prolific and been sharing great growth though my work.  I look at some of my pieces and with great pride I was exhibiting them and my inner critic jumps in and slays my thoughts that I must have thought I was hot shit back than.

To start off and begin being an artist and a collage artist at that time takes lots of gumption.   As I thinking back I was also exhibiting in the City at 4 Arts.   I was taking great risk driving place and being involved in events that now I'm not sure I would have done them.  So glad I did them though back then. Great experience.

Found a few more that I did the deconstruction of the collage too.  Something to visit again some day soon.
Loved that thin line of the thread way back then...simple with color, a few piece of paper and image transfers and before I knew it cutting into the piece and stitching it back together.

Well thanks for taking a little journey back in time with me.
