it's that time of year- 3 questions I ask myself

For the New Year of 2021

 Three Questions

Who am I?

Why am I here?

Where am I going?

Comment from an Elder I know... We live in a world of flux and it is easy to be knocked off balance. but after we have done the groundwork to answer these three questions and can answer them succinctly, we are now on a good solid foundation from which to move forward. Think on these questions.  Make attempts to answer these three questions as part of your periodic checkups from the neck up. You will find for the most part that once you are able to answer these three questions even if the upheavals of Life knock you off balance you have a good sense of where you can find that balance again.

The Call to answer is upon me this morning.... But the answers may have started in the head as you can read but ended up from the heart.  I was getting anxious about answering the questions. I do them annually and it wasn't coming till this morning.  Everything has it's time again I'm reminded.  I will look at this often through out the year.  I will print them out and have them in my morning page journal as I move through the year I will be present to their really meaning.  Some times I even journal write more about them then just listing them.  What ever is to be this new year I'm Staying Open as much as I can.   This doesn't stop life from being life but it centers, grounds and helps me balance through life.

I would like to walk a Labyrinth

I would like to drum and sing more this year not just in the woods but with others

I would like to looking over life stuff and make some plans for our retirement.

In the end, an artist’s Life is grounded in integrity and the willingness to witness our version of truth. There are no set markets that assure us of safe passage. This week focuses on personal responsibility for our creative caliber and direction. Self-respect lies in the doing, not in the done.
