React or Retreat

Materials used:

Kraft paper that was gessoed, textured, dried  and then glazed with acrylics and image transfers, stained tissue papers, stained and printed parchment papers, painted black Kraft papers and old book pages altered with acrylics. sealed with an acrylic satin varnish.

Meaning behind the art:
This collage was created in a demonstration done over the past weekend at my Outdoor Studio Exhibit and I often enjoy the challenge to create with just a few piece of collage paper materials and with wording in the piece which some of  it is Ukrainian it was about a collage retreat and the other words in the old book page was reactions so it came to me for the title, React or Retreat.. which also means to act or hold back.. which is so fitting as I how I'm feeling about life these days...as to act on some things and hold back on other...Serendipity is really what it's called when one makes those wild connections from some where else and wonders.
