Small Abstract Landscapes unfinished..

this one is on canvas, I set it up just like if I was doing it on watercolor paper but it's on a loose piece of canvas left over from the 12 x 12 canvases I stretched a month ago...don't want to waste anything these days..you know...

this one is called Rolling Thunder... I'm not sure if I'm done with it yet..still thinking about it, but the other ones I know I'm not done with them as I've got a bit of stitching I want to add to them and some shadowing of acrylics.. My plan is to make up about ten of these and get them up to The Flying Pig before October really sets in.. need to put the move on it though...love the fire under the butt deal though...gets the creativity juice going.. my frames only came in, in black and the walnut color is out of stock till November so I order the redder frames. Hoping they come to LaGrange or here today..

today I've got a boat load of things going on as of packing for the Launch Party at LaGrange Art League and for the day long workshop I have on Sunday...I'm going to be camped out at the art league all day Friday and Saturday and then Sunday a whole group of us artist are heading to Ingrid Albrectch  for a mono print mixed media day long workshop..pretty excited.. (note to self need to map that one out or make sure I've got my GPS plugged in)  I'm really excited this is all coming together it's been in the planning stage with the help of some great people volunteering their time and putting up with me and all my meetings..

well off to fit in a good walk/run this morning before I hit the list of things to do and start checking them off.

  3. Laura...the vertical landscapes are impressive. There is something special about viewing them in the unsual vertical shape... I got the feeling of peeking through a crack at at a world on the other side. Very nice!!
