I'm reading this book right now and it's just so funny how it was suggested to me about 7 to 8 years ago by another artist.. it's taken me this long to pull it out and read it.. The way I figure its wasn't time to read it back then but not it is..I don't know why I have no problem starting a project but I do want to create a stronger work session for myself.. So maybe that's why this is good to read now.
Sounds like a good book. I wonder if I can get it from the library . . . :)
ReplyDeleteIt's been out for a while Im sure could find it or have the library bring it from another libray..what really interesting is it's coming from a different angle of the creative process.."Beginning it"
ReplyDeleteI'm interested to see what you think. I borrowed it from the library last year and didn't care much for it. Although there were some good points...perhaps I wasn't ready for it.
ReplyDeleteAlways like to hear what you're reading. Started adding some of them to my collection, like I need another book! Oh yes - you can never have too many books!
ReplyDeleteI like that she talks directly about setting up a habit and keep up with that habit..with creating while being a mother all these years creating time was so hapharazed that it was not a steady thing and I'm looking into making some changes about it..so I'm in the gathering mode of information and what better way then to be open and learn from a master at it.. I really don't need to read a book to know that I just need to be in the studio but there seems to be more to in and I always love a good story of how others have walked through it...inspirations..
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to another read! Not yet though.
