Being Creative in a different ways

This dress cost $8 at Goodwill, front and back was a cute one.
I brought up the straps a bit and cut off about 3 inch from the bottom, then under the arms I had to take it on some.

This one was 3.99 and I added the gold rick rack around the west and cut the shoulder straps and criss- crossed them in the back so that it would stay on instead of slipping off my granddaughters shoulders. She was running around the house the other day wearing it and I had a chip bag clip helping to hold it up.  She was having a good time in it. Almost to the floor length.

This dress was 5.99 and I didn't cut anything off the bottom but did add straps and the bow with the ribbon streamers hanging down.  It will be big in the chest area but it's a dress up dress.
I've wanted to do this for a while and she's be 3 in 5 months so though I would get a start on it. Plus with Halloween that past she was really into the costume theme of Maribel from Encanto's.

We can see she's enjoying the dress up theme.  I was able to find a nice cardboard flip cover box to put the dress in for her and bought a pair of black sparkly low level shoes for her.  I little big but that's great to grow into.   Didn't make any promise that they would be for Christmas, just a thing to have at Baba's house to play with.  They will be moving in May so they are watching how much comes into the house now as more they have to pack away in a few months.
Now I have to watch out when I go to Goodwill and buying dresses for her.  Might have to look for something for the boys to dress up in.  I know Jake and Kyle would try the dresses on too.  All in fun and creative play.  Imagination is a good thing to explore young and old.
