From Class yesterday

This size is a little 4 x 6 ish sketchbook.

This piece was a demo piece, and it's 9 x 12 but only using the magazine.  I know people/student's want to use more but when you learning about new ways to approach the surface and creating a practice when there is too many choices it can freeze you up.  I know that from experience.

I shared some things while in class yesterday that we forget about and that is process.  I personal have to teach myself to slow down and not rush through things and get to the end result that the best part is in the middle the process part.  It's the part were you make mistakes and fail forward and it's the part where you learn to listen to your inner voice-Intuition in some arena's.  Sure there is some basic learning about design that we have to go through but how you learn that in different ways is so cool.

Setting yourself up to start and to face the white page in your sketchbook.  Both ways are cool with lines or no lines and free from you outer shape of your collage.  Again process work to learn more.
Learning about staring with a Horizontal or Vertical layout is away to approach the white surface  where you first piece of magazine paper will be.  How you use the surface with the line we be a choice you make, up high or down low.  Well I could go on rambling but  That's what a class is for...just sharing what everyone did yesterday in the Indian Prairie Public Library Collage Meditation class.
If your interested and would like to try it out I have an Online class available with handouts and videos to walk you through at your pace.  Check it out at Lonecrow Studio
