Gracie the Deer Whisper

Our experience a few days ago, 

Gracie the Deer Whisper,   As you can see in the middle of the photo above there is a deer and at the end of the path is a man and we are at the begin of the path to enter the woods. Now Gracie will chase a rabbit any time but the Deer she didn't seem afraid in fact it was like the size of the deer meant she was smaller and moved for it out of respect.  The deer seemed to be wanting to look and smell her, Gracie that is.  At one point I started to approach step by step, The man took a few photo's of us too.  As we started to get closer to the deer she cross the path some and we were about 2 feet away enough space to smell well of each other and that's what Gracie and the Deer did.  Then we resumed our obedience and walked by. 

My thoughts are she was about to give birth because her belly was so round.  And because of Gracie's color maybe there was some confusion or the deer has given birth and she was sticking close.

What ever the reason I was in awe and honor then the thought came that the deer are getting to use to us humans out there.  I hope we don't make a nasty impact on them and start feeding them etc. We are entering their home not the other way around.
