Back in the homestead and moving forward
I spent of the day in the studio, creating some small collages for thank you cards I need to send out and working on the 10th one of the series in 13 moons. I'm trying hard to finish this up...trying as not to rush it as of getting it done and over deal..that would lose is feeling as part of the series so keeping my heart in it is what I'm working on.. I can't believe how long I've been working on them. When I finish one I seem to pack it away so that I can start fresh on the next one.
It was a remarkable feeling I carried with me when I went for my walk in the woods.. I ended up going out there late around 2:00 in the afternoon.. There wasn't a soul out there walking I had the whole time to myself. I even saw a group of Doe's and some young adults down by the creek it was good to see them.. food is so plentiful for them now.. No effort to forages for it... What I was blessed with was the green in so many different shades of color so beautiful. Walked with my walking poles. Trying to keep the upper arms strong for the art fair season of heavy lifting.
I'm excited to pick up my images I left at the Staples by us to get laminated. I want to use them for teaching prompts to help the students to look again...we've been doing the collage but what the forget to see is the emphases in the piece.. some works starts to look all wall papery.. And mine too sometime so it's good to refresh ourselves on some basic.
Well off to get the body moving forward on those cards I was making need to assemble them on the the card itself and add a few more things to my #10 piece and then on to the next thing.
