DeleteHealing at the Waters Edge pulls me in. I simply can't help my educators mind. I think of the process of ideation when I see a work of art. I notice how you formed the composition; the red circle catches my attention. I like its size and irregularity and how it holds the dark scattered bits which I follow up into the negative space and down and around to the right. I enjoy the geometric regularity of the grid, and am pleased, even excited at the free form red splash shape that overlaps and connects contrasting elements to unify your composition. THEN, I am also aware of how these formal qualities create personal meaning for ME. Since I know you, the artist, I also am aware YOUR emotions and ideas...circles, water, rocks, LIFE.
