The Threat of Winter still lingers....

White Flowers Moon,
                                                             24 x 24 collage on canvas

All the animals are awake is what it says....I noticed just yesterday with the Chipmunks out running around gather the sunflower seeds...the Sand Hill Cranes that are in process of Migration along with all the other birds...The wild white flowers are blooming that is the Snow Drops...with the chipmunks I seem to have the little bulbs planted randomly all over the place in my yard...nice little delightful surprise.

On to Monday....

    2. Laura, when you adhere a collage to a wooden cradle, do you paint the sides or leave them natural? Do you use a special adhesive or do you use an acrylic gel? I'll be watching for your answer. I love your collages and your teaching videos!

    3. Oh Honey depends on the art...first I tape off the side with blue painters tape and then use the acrylic paints and give a coat of that...that is if it's the solid wood panels not the one already white. Then I give two coats of Polymer and let it dry and start collage on it or I put two coats of polymer medium on the back of the watercolor paper that the collage was created on and fuse it with the tack iron. Polymer medium (gloss) is by Golden and that's what I use for my collaging about 85% of the time especially when I use the tack iron. Hope this helps and thanks for viewing the Video's...

    4. My computer's been in the repair shop getting rid of a nasty virus so I was unable to read your reply until today. Thank you so much for the information. I just got 3 unprimed wood cradles and was hoping I could find your answer! I'm having such fun using this method of collage. Thank you for your informative blogs, Tack Down Tuesdays, and videos. I hope I can take a class from you in the future.

  3. I love this, it has so much interest, It is so difficult to use so many different pieces in a collage yet retain unity and harmony. It is a fabulous collage.
