Anyway You never know how something can effect you...

So I enjoy listening to stories....and I've got this CD Second half of life....Angeles Arriens ..and she shares this one of her stories...when  I looked it up I found out it was Mother Theresa that wrote cool.

Mother Teresa’s Anyway Poem

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
 What's so funny is this author I latched on to about the Five Shapes of life has a few other books out This also is a connection the Documentary Movie "I Am..."

Yesterday I headed out to "The Center" on southwest highway and enjoyed a delightful visit with April and her class...Saw a few old friends and some new ones too.  Had to drop off a Bookbinding cradle for her...

While I was there I decided I would hike and see the woods...slippery here and there but awesome, everyone knew I was coming as the winged ones and the fourleggeds.  All my crunching of the hiking boots in the crusty snow.  I had to stop and look around many times to get my barrings and to listen...listen to the nuthatches and the group of Blue Jays joyfully chattering.

I know I got off the trail when I was spotting deer droppings but I know from past ventures...deer create nice little paths that always meet up to another path so I figured I was safe and I could see my foot prints to back track.   Before I knew it I was looking up a hill to 6 Doe's...all nice and healthy looking and good size too.  I then heard the sound of water and followed it and found creek that I know when water is high will have some strong movement.   I've been making Wednesday Self Care day...which is kind of turning into a free day do  what ever.

What is it about some gnarly looking roots...back to old stories or how this was created...I know I shared it right away on Facebook...the cause of the water rushing again and again over many years has left the effect of exposed roots...and eventually the tree will fall in or over the creek. This branch of the creek was up a bit higher then other one...small amounts of water was in there.

I left feeling refreshed and back into my rhythm of things... Even though there is a creative space and materials ready for the next piece of art...I some how what to experience the season in the woods...walking through and being part of the moments the life that is happening out there is my life line to things, my hope and creative force...for some it's being at the water edge of a ocean or's just as important to fill the well of life...this well I speak about I will use to respond with later on possible in some other piece of art.  When I don't know but it's there my experience.

Swallow's Cliff, once I went down it some time back when I was a teenager with a group of friends... but after visit and the hike I drove by this....and said I'm going to go climb those stairs head to the next stop light...intersections down the street a bit and turned around and came back.  Now I had my big boots on and clugging up the steps I made it about 3/4 the way and felt it....looked up and said I'm going for it and made it....with the menopause my knees and hip joints have been feeling things a lot differently then normal I just acted on this and did it.....I'm so happy I did but the steps down amazed me how they effected the knees....more exercise will be required and then a test back in the spring...told my husband about and he said his bosses wife does that two times a week in good weather...I believe it cause there were a few other doing that too...

Here's a gal I asked her how many times she does this.....she said 10 but sometimes 13....Wow!!!  in her shorts yet...but you can see how high it is...I think they had it marked as of how many steps you do as of 1/2 way and 3/4 way etc.   I was just pleased I did it I drove off three more people came there.

Life, being a full time person in our own life means to act on some things now and then and Jump in...letting go of all results and outcomes...this experience will also be put in a well I carry with me and when I need it I'll dig for the Jump in shirt and put in on and be ready for my full time job of much we can enjoy.

  1. I love that poem, Laura. And you sure made the most of that day...beautiful photos and loved hearing about your walk through the woods at The Center. I must do that. Loved your visit. Don't know if I'd make Swallow Cliff, but maybe a third way up? ha! Glad to hear there are still people going there.

  2. What a glorious take care of you day. Love ti.
    Congrats on the hike upwards.
    Love and light !

  3. Like the uphill hikes, they usually lead to downhills. Sometime we should do the back paths at Silver Springs, there's a sledding hill there also. 5 miles...

Thank you for stopping by and viewing my collage chatter, many creative blessings and peace to you and yours
