Wonderful tasting combo

Ok I didn't think about it last night but this morning I took a picture from the book but the combination of Brussels Sprouts, Pears and Shallot is awesome..

I'll share the recipe with you all. We are Brussels sprout lovers in our family which is a good thing this time year. getting all in as much as possible natural is the way to go.

Now I just cut up things and combined them because we have a larger family. You know eyeballed it.

1 ripe firm Bartlett pear, preferably red
1 pound of Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved.
3 shallots quartered...( didn't have them so used regular onions)
4 sprigs thyme... just sprinkled what I had in the spice cabinet of thyme
1 tablespoon plus 11/2 teaspoon Olive oil,  I used a bit more in a bowl and tossed them up.
Salt and pepper
2 table spoons fresh lemon juice.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Core pear and cut into wedges. Place on a large rimmed baking sheet with the Brussels spouts and shallots thyme oil, salt and pepper toss and combine..Now me I put it in a large bowl with oil at the bottom and toss it around then put it on the baking sheet with salt and pepper and thyme..which ever way.

Roast for about 30 to 35 minutes but turning the mixture to get a nice even roasting. Remove from oven and sprinkle with lemon juice and toss and combine.  Serve warm.

I have to tell the combo was heavy..and the house smelled good with the onions going...you can tell I've not been cooking for a while..Husband wanted a more sturdy mean then salads...so made some steaks for him and we had a great meal.
