Ended up back at the woods

Stepping off the bridge at Gilbert Park on the north side of Maple Woods, I was in awe at the pattern of vertical lines from the gray brown maple trunks. And being present for the falling of the leaves and the ground coated as it is.. The winds blow and swept me along.

Oddly as this image is, I sat on a large log and felt comforted.  It's hard to share with you all but the branches that are stacked are in almost a full circle.  The Woods are next to the Avery Cooley school in Downers Grove so I'm sure some young folk have been having an adventure building a structure there.  My first thoughts were comfort in a womb. Surrounded be a peace. I sat for awhile till a Squirrel decided to let me know I was in his space..."Ok already" and I left...as he chatter at me..

YELLOW AURA COLOR MEANING: Relates to the spleen and life energy. It is the color of awakening, inspiration, intelligence and action shared, creative, playful, optimistic, easy-going.

So on with the day and starting the packing for the workshops this weekend... I plan on even getting another canvas ready too, as of just giving it two coats of polymer then when the weekend is past figuring out what is next for the large surface...I feel the yellow may be a strong winner for my choice of color and maybe Gray again, oh how I love those to color together.

  1. Beautiful, Laura. Love that yellow. At The Center, in one spot among the yellow maples - they call it the "magic forest".
