A day full of fun

First and last, I received some great gifts late in the evening... Eve share a few slices of the floaty shaped like a flower for printing on papers and then my cousin Doris share a great find from one of her daily road side walks... she finds the coolest stuff.
this is a experimental piece that I did two weeks ago in class with Maureen Gasek, Acrylics with a Twist.

Two more experimental piece done on the first day of class. As you can see I used the same colors.

My shot on this is a bit off, so #11 Deer Moon is finished and wait varnish coats. I will try to put one on before I head out today.. I'm going to stop up to see Cheryl Holz's studio, she is working on a very large commission for a Hospital in Peoria I believe and will be finishing it up in June... Then it's home to start on the next papers for #12 Old Wolf Moon.
I took the risk yesterday and shared my Coyoto Moon with the Author of the book 13 Moons on Turtle's back and he got back to me on that and said,
"Thank you for your e-mail, Laura.

The "Coyote Moon" collage is really striking and
quite powerful. I'm honored that my work was an
inspiration.

Peace,

Joe Bruchac

PS I'm attaching a few links you might enjoy, things my two
sons and I have been doing.

I didn't expect to hear from him so quickly but did so I'm just really on cloud 9...
Ok got to get going on the homestead and this list and have some fun with my day!

  3. The top "blue" paper you did reminds me of a book I had when I was little. Mr. Wubbles Bubbles or something like that. Very whimsical! Love it! And love you "moon" series. So interesting. Love that you heard from that suthor!
