Chatted with my Mom~

I was doing some kitchen things and had the insight to call my mom. She a dynamite little power house. Been through a lot in her life but I'm proud of her. I don't spend the Thanksgiving holiday with her but I do make sure I call her the day before. It's been like that since I was passed the Turkey Platter of my grandmothers when my dad and step mom moved to Wisc. When I call her I refresh my memory of all the ways to cook things, being I don't usually make these dishes but on this holiday. She carries on about all her homestead happens and who is coming to the table. My step brother is a funny one as he has asked that dinner be served a special time or he won't be there, since he has a poker game later that day... I laugh and ask my mom how does he rate around there and get that kind of speical treatment?... All in good fun. I'm happy that my sister Tina and her boyfriend are coming, my sister is making the pies. Fresh Pumpkin and not sure what else but My sister is a good cook too.She has won many awards in jellies, jams, pie making and canning. Glad someone has carried that on, being I don't do the canning, like when we were kids. Well I'm grateful to have my family... my dad and step mom are coming to the house with I hope my step sister, Joe and the three boys. She is expecting their fourth and knows it's another boy. She has to be on bed rest for the next 6 to 8 weeks then the baby will come. But all is good with her and the baby. My mom in law, brother in law, Dianne and Kyle will be coming too. Well I won't go in to major details of the whole amount but could have about 24 people at one time. Good house full and I'll be loving it all up. Dinner will be at 2:30 so if you in the area stop in if not I hope you will be spending with your family and friends and being thankful for the little things we seem to take for granite.
